About The Department

Anthropology isthe integrative study of human beings at the all times and in all places. Departmentof Anthropology was affiliated in the year of 2011 in our Khejuri College.Subject Anthropology affiliated as a general discipline and offered first B.Sc.general course from 2011-2012 session in our college and running also. Thecourse deals with different Social groups and Indian tribes also. Thedepartmental field work have been conducted on tribal areas and also arrangedon local occupational groups at Khejuri. Huge numbers of books are available inour college library by which students enriched their knowledge. Well equippeddepartmental laboratory are available for practical classes. For the holisticdevelopment of students department of Anthropology organised a state levelseminar in collaboration with the Indian Anthropological Society, Kolkata andconducted webinar by renowned resource person. Presently department is runningby two faculty members who are responsible for the department and careful tostudents also. 

Aim and Objectives of the Department 

  • The Departmentaims at being the hub for Higher Educational study and research on “SANSKRIT”.
  • The Departmentaspires to facilitate research and interaction in interdisciplinary Humanitiesinitiatives and projects, focusing on “Sanskrit Literature and Culture”.
  • The Departmentendeavours to help students in achieving academic excellence in order to craftout a future career of academic and professional accomplishment.
  • The Departmentwants to be a centre for the development of Digital Humanities in order to aidinnovative pedagogical and research initiatives.
  • The Departmentaims at disseminating Sanskrit speaking and communication skills through theuse of e-resources, language labs etc.
