Botany is thebranch of Biology that deals with study of plants. Khejuri College wasestablished in 1999, in Khejuri –II Block in the district of Purba Medinipur.It offers undergraduate course in Social Science and Humanistic,Science andvocational course. The college is recognized by the University GrantCommission and affiliated by Vidyasagar University. Botany also called plantscience or phtology, is the science of plant life and a branch of Biology. Thestudy of plants is vital because they underpin almost all animal life on earthby generation of a large proportion of the oxygen and food. The department startedits journey in 2011 with general course in undergraduate. The Departmentlocated at academic building and surrounded by green natural garden with aBig-Pond .Our department has one well equipped laboratory and a moderatedteaching learning resource room. All the academic session our departmentcompleted successfully all curriculam related programme by lecturedemonstration and laboratory method. Our Teaching faculty helps the learner togrow newly knowledge and conduct continuous evaluation through Online, MCQ,Class-testetc.
